Deep-Fried Asparagus


  • 2 cups rice bran oil for frying, as needed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ cups biscuit mix
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp SIDS SALT & PEPPER to taste
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed


  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    Whisk milk and eggs together in a bowl.
    Stir biscuit mix, Parmesan cheese and 
    SIDS SALT & PEPPER together in a separate bowl.
    Dip asparagus into milk mixture. Roll and coat asparagus in dry ingredient mixture. Repeat with a second layer for each asparagus.
    Carefully place coated asparagus in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, 2-4 minutes.
